Once again this year, our pupils enjoyed one of the most exciting activities in our English lessons: the Easter Egg Hunt.
This activity is always a fantastic way to learn English through play, movement and surprise.
As they take part in the hunt, children practise Easter vocabulary, colours, directions and simple instructions in a natural and motivating way. They also develop other important skills such as observation, listening, cooperation and problem-solving.
The Easter Egg Hunt also gives us the opportunity to work on the cultural side of language learning.
In English lessons, learning a language also means discovering traditions and celebrations from English-speaking countries. Easter is one of them, and activities like this help our pupils become familiar with customs that are part of the cultural world of English.
All the classes took part in the activity, each one adapted to their age and level. In some cases, the children had to follow clues to find the eggs, which made the challenge even more exciting. Big and small alike joined in with great enthusiasm, and it was lovely to see their emotion and excitement as they searched for the hidden eggs.
Without a doubt, it was a joyful, engaging and memorable experience for everyone. Learning English through meaningful and cultural activities like this makes the language come alive in the classroom.
