Springtime is always an inspiration. The sun is out, the birds are singing and the fields are colourful and life overflowing.
This spring our 1st grade students made this charming yellow paper birds in a nest.
They worked awesome for this craft!
They started by cutting out a nest template. Then they cut out brown wrapping paper into strips to be glued onto the nest creating a 3D effect.
Finally they outline their hand on a yellow paper to cut out and make the five little birds, drew the eyes and the beak and glued the birds into the nest.
They also enjoyed and learned painting techniques using cotton buds for pollen and brushes for the petals to create different floral patterns with bright colours.
The result was wonderful.
